Welcome to my website.  It is not meant to be taken too seriously.

I write intermittently and for my own amusement, though I do tend to impose my efforts on family and friends in the hope of their approval. Too much criticism, however constructive, is less appreciated!

Just a word about my oeuvre:

“The Toybox” was written in early 1993 and is an attempt at political satire. There was a lot more of it as I wrote a chapter every year until the Conservative government fell in 1997, but I think this is the best bit and anyway the rest is rather dated now.

“Faster than Fairies, Faster than Witches” was my response to a challenge. It is rather thin in the middle because I had set myself to prepare a plan and a sample chapter to try to interest a publisher, but then I got rather carried away.  One day, maybe, I will write the rest of it.

"The Car and the Carpet" is for my grandchildren.

“Inside” is obvious, but heartfelt.
